Hello, I’m Ava Bailey-Klugh.

Nice To Meet You!

About Me

I have lived in Southern California my entire life and am too spoiled by the perfect weather to ever think about leaving. I was adopted when I was a few days old by my wonderful dads. I grew up not entirely immersed in my Hispanic heritage. When I was 14, I began writing short stories that never went anywhere, but I believe they helped me connect with my heritage and culture. Today, I am a third-year journalism major at Point Loma Nazarene University, where I focus my writing primarily on uplifting the voices of my Hispanic and LGBTQ+ community. I’ve done this previously by writing articles for my campus’s newspaper that are focused on issues in my community that might otherwise have gone unnoticed. I hope to continue my writing voice to write for the greater good and to serve my community. I am looking for networking opportunities and media internship opportunities.
